Recently I made the long, long trip up to the very north of Norfolk for the wedding of Hannah and Dan. They got married at a cool venue called Thurning Hall which looks like it needs a bit of TLC, which is part of it’s charm. With as many people as possible crammed into the tiny room for their wedding they were married by Norfolk registrars who are a hell of a lot more laid back than Gloucestershire ones :) when it came to the photography at least. The ceremony was cool for me personally as Hannah’s very good friend Emma sang one of their favourite songs for them, Emma is my old flatmate and good friend also, so it was fun to watch her sing and get to photograph that.
Hannah and Dan wanted their day to be as laid back as possible so straight after the ceremony they made their way to the walled garden where the coolest vintage DJ was playing music for their drinks reception. We left everyone here just briefly and nipped off for a few photographs, but not keeping them away for too long before everyone made their way through into the big marquee/tent for the rest of the evening. The lovely and enthusiastic DJ from earlier in the day played again in the evening after a couple of sets from Hannah and Dan’s friend’s band who were pretty awesome. They had not planned a first dance as such but as it often does it sort of happened anyway but only once everyone had already started :) Here are some of my highlights:
