On a very, very rainy Friday night recently I drove down to Somerset ready for Lynsey and Doug’s wedding that was the next day. The wedding was to take place at Widcombe Grange which is in Culmhead in Somerset. Their parents had originally rented it out for the weekend to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversairy and Lynsey and Doug realised it would be the perfect opportunity to get married themselves. So they spent the whole weekend there with their family, it had a super relaxed, laid back feel to it which I think is partly due to this.
The rain continued all night and when I arrived in the morning it was pretty waterlogged. They were getting married out on a wooden gazebo on a little lake in the garden, it was a bit worrying as it was drizzling in the morning but Lynsey and Doug work for the Met office and assured me it was going to be ok :) and they were right, it turned out to be the most beautiful day! The grass was still pretty waterlogged though but Lynsey and Doug were troopers and didn’t let it stop them from getting to the good stuff. Here are some of my favourites from the day.
