This evening I bring to you the wedding of Lucy and David. I absolutely adored photographing their wedding, partly because it was right up my street and partly because Lucy and David are both so so lovely and their day was full of laughter and smiles from start to finish! I started the day where Lucy and David got engaged, a little cottage owned by Lucy’s godmother, where Lucy, her Mum and 3 bridesmaids were getting ready with the help of Sophie Chamings who did their make up and Nina Sandeman who did their hair. Lucy’s godmother had made a beautiful arch in front of the cottage, there were lots of cute little things around.
They then got married at Malmesbury Abbey, somewhere I have photographed just once before and I really love it there, it’s so light and airy. Afterwards we quickly nipped around the back of the Abbey to get a few photographs while the guests went onto Cripps Barn. Cripps Barn is one of my favourite venues and one I have photographed many times. I love it because weddings there are always so relaxed and full of love, it’s got such a lovely energy/atmosphere. The guests were already there when Lucy and David arrived and they were all waiting with lots of confetti :) they then all sat down outside for some secular readings and music (as such things aren’t allowed in a religious ceremony and vice versa), this part was so gorgeous as the sun was shining, Lucy and David got to just sit and listen while sipping champagne. I’ll let you see for yourselves the rest with the photos…..
