Tetbury Wedding Photographer – Emily-Jane and Will

As I am originally from Cirencester I know the little Cotswold town Tetbury well as I am and always have been constantly driving through it, so I’ve always loved looking at the buildings as I pass through. So it was awesome to finally be shooting the wedding of Emily-Jane and Will who were getting married bang in the centre of Tetbury at The Close Hotel. It also turns out that this is my second Kingshill school alumni wedding of the year (where I went to school) as Emily-Jane and her bridesmaids all went there too, although in a different year so we did not know each other. It also turned out that one of Emily-Jane’s beautiful bridesmaids also did her art foundation at Cheltenham (like me) and did her degree in Falmouth (also like me), it’s a small world!!

Anyway, I started my day with Emily-Jane, her Mum and bridesmaids getting their hair done at Cherish Salon just on the outskirts of Tetbury before we all made our way to The Close Hotel which had already been beautifully decorated ready for the meal later. We were up in the bridal suite having a very relaxed start to the day and able to watch Will and the guests arrive below without them knowing. Then Emily-Jane walked down with her Dad and bridesmaids to the chapel in the grounds of The Close Hotel itself and walked in to music played beautifully on the guitar by Will’s Dad. Not long after they were married by the slightly strict registrar ;) and out in the gorgeous sunshine.

A few drinks later it was time for Will’s speech which he did out side before everyone made their way in the for the meal which was a nice touch. The other two heartwarming and hilarious speeches by Emily-Jane’s Dad and Will’s best man were saved until after the meal. I was due to finish here but the light was gorgeous so I persuaded Emily-Jane and Will to nip outside into the centre of Tetbury to get some more shots of them that would not have been possible during the day as there are far too many tourists, which I think was well worth it :) Here are my favourites from the day:
