Tipi Wedding Photos – Village Hall Wedding – Liz and Jamie

Today I bring to you a mammoth wedding brimming with prettiness in one of my favourites, a tipi, it is the wedding of Liz and Jamie! They got married in Liz’s home village of Colston Bassett just outside Nottingham in the lovely little village church before walking down the road to the village hall where they had a tipi chocked full of gorgeousness.

I loved photographing this wedding, not just because everywhere I looked there was something pretty to photograph, but because Liz and Jamie along with their friends and family were just such a pleasure to be around. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and lively all day. We were given most dry weather to enjoy the tipi and the surrounding area except for about 20 minutes. These happened to be the 20 minutes that Liz, Jamie and myself went off for their couple photos to some old church ruins just down the road. There was a short walk out to the ruins, we didn’t notice how dark the sky was in the background and sure enough more or less as soon as we got there it absolutely chucked it down. This restricted us slightly but Liz and Jamie were fantastic with their attitude and we got some great stuff. They really should have been rewarded with a rainbow when the sun came out briefly but it was not to be. Thankfully that was the only rain so everyone was able to enjoy the lawn games and the outside bar and we even nipped of for more photos in the evening sun.
